One great way to make money online is through affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is when you promote a product for a company and if a customer purchases that product from the company using your special affiliate link then you make a commission on that sale. Promoting products is easy to do, but actually getting people to purchase the products can be hard to do at times.
The first step in affiliate marketing is to find a niche market with products you believe in. The Christian niche is a great because you are promoting products and services that serve the Lord. You can also be fairly certain that the content is going to be family friendly and free of offending language or questionable data. The Christian affiliate marketing niche is not huge, but is steadily growing. New Christian affiliate programs are popping up everyday.
Christian affiliate marketing works the same as any other type of affiliate marketing but by promoting Christian products you have the unique opportunity to change someone’s life for the better. The Lord works in mysterious ways and you may never know if a person gives their life to the Lord because of your recommendation of a Christian product.
Most affiliate programs offer a variety of tools and materials for you to use to promote their products. It is up to you as the affiliate to use the tools to send customers to purchase the products. In order to become a successful affiliate, in any niche, you must commit to publishing content everyday. If you are a blogger, I am sure you have heard the saying, “Content is King.” The saying is true in affiliate marketing too. Content has proven to be one of the best sales tools available.
There are a number of ways you can publish content and make affiliate sale. Some possible methods include setting up an e-course in an autoresponder, sending out newsletters, writing an e-zine, writing blog posts, posting in social networking communities, article marketing, and writing press releases. The goal is to get your content out there while using your affiliate links.
For the Christian niche some popular affiliate programs include ChristianBooks.com and Amazon.com because of the large number of Christian books they sale. If you publish a book review of a Christian book you can then include your affiliate link in your review. You can even write devotionals around a particular subject and then reference the affiliate product as an additional study aide.
There are countless ways you can include Christian content on your site and still promote Christian products as an affiliate marketer. Just because run a Christian website does not mean you cannot be a successful affiliate marketer and make money online. Just remember you “can do all things through Christ” (Philippians 4:13).
