I was honored to review some of the coolest drink mix from Ashley Graham at Shake 4 Free. This drink mix is a meal replacement mix that is THE best tasting I have ever had! And, yes….I have tried a bunch! This mama has been through the drink mixes, diet plans and much more…..and I now believe that if I were to make this drink mix a full 90 Body by Vi Challenge in my life, that I would survive and actual lose the weight!
“The Body By Vi Challenge is a 90 Day Health Challenge. Most people on the Challenge have a weight loss goal. To achieve those goals quickly, the Body By Vi Challenge kits include the Vi-Shape Shake mix.
Vi-Shape is a delicious meal replacement shake that is packed with full nutrition and the highest quality protein. Body By Vi Challengers replace 2 meals a day with Vi-Shape to melt the pounds away. The shake comes in sweet cream flavor and blends perfectly into any kind of milk or juice, and even water or coffee, so it’s easy to ‘mix it up’ and bring variety to the Vi-Shape shake. In fact, variety is KEY to sticking with the Body By Vi Challenge, and ViSalus provides healthy flavor ‘mix-ins’ with each kit, as well as many delicious recipes.
Each of the recipes that list ‘milk’ can be made with your choice of milk. You could use cow milk, soy milk, almond, or any milk of your choice!
The Vi-Shape Shake mix comes in ‘sweet cream’ flavor that make the ultimate fruit, chocolate or even coffee smoothies. It has a superior nutritional profile to any of the other ‘meal replacement’ powders, and it blends easily in any kind of milk and even water. Vi-Shape Shake Mix tastes fantastic and blends perfectly – the ultimate smoothie base!
Vi Shape Shake Mix is GMO free, gluten free and lactose free. It is 100% safe for diabetics and even safe for cancer survivors because ViSalus has removed the estrogen precursors in the soy protein.
Vi-Shape is the perfect meal replacement shake, but it’s also just the BEST smoothie base for people who love their smoothies!
The second secret to the perfect smoothie is frozen fruit. Using frozen fruit makes a more substantial shake, and keeps you full much longer. To make it extra creamy and satisfying, add frozen banana. Let a bunch of bananas get to the point where they are lightly spotted, then peel them and put them in freezer bag. Most of the smoothie recipes can be made more creamy by adding 1/2 of a frozen banana.
I have two shakes every day, so variety is key. If you are going to use the Vi-Shape Shake mix as a meal replacement, as recommended in the Body By Vi Challenge, you absolutely want to vary your shakes.
If you are going to stick with the Body By Vi weight loss program and lose all the weight you want to – you will want to incorporate different recipes. The Vi-Net health tracker system has many suggested recipes as well.” (Quote from the company)
Now Miss Ashley sent me a serving size of some powder that I was a bit unsure of as I opened the package. But once I got my first whiff, I Knew it was going to be excellent!
The vanilla (or rather, the sweet cream) smell was so potent that I contemplated adding anything else to the mix. I debated for a few days as I would walk through the kitchen which fruit I was going to add. But when it come down to the time to make my drink I decided that without any extras would be the truest test of goodness.
I am so glad that I chose to do it plain, because it was the best tasting drink mix I have ever had! I took an 8 ounce glass of cold milk and mixed in the powder. My kids were jumping all around begging to have some because it smelled soooooo yummy!
Now, I will let you in a little secret….I cannot stand milk! Seriously, it is Not a big staple in my diet. I may drink chocolate milk occasionally and have a bowl of cereal, but that is it!
So my first swig was a bit apprehensive…..needless to say. BUT….my apprehension was totally unfounded! This drink of milk (boy was I surprised!) was so yummy, it couldn’t possibly be a meal replacement drink. The smooth texture and the delicious taste had me and my kiddos bickering about who got how much! 🙂
If this was part of my diet plan, I would probably switch up the fixings, but even in a rush, plain in some milk surely works!
