I don’t know about you, but I have a little man that is sometimes rather difficult to get to eat well. We have MANY times gone ’round and ’round about sitting and eating what is served.
Most battles I win, sometimes though it is easier to make my Little Bubba think that he won the battle.
Take for instance, today’s lunch.
A hunk of Colby-Monterey Jack cheese, Low Fat Turkey Pepperoni, dry roasted and salted Almonds, a handful of Craisins (dried cranberries), a small bunch of red grapes, and a few Roasted Veggie Ritz crackers.
Under the guise that all of this was for me (smile, smile), without missing a beat Little Bubba climbed up into his seat and grabbed a grape!
Knowing that the good fats from the Almonds, the antioxidants from the Craisins, the calcium from the cheese and some fiber from the crackers, this was really a battle I had won.
The results were better than expected! Little Bubba ate all of the grapes, the crackers, the craisins, the pepperoni, the almonds and a few bites of cheese.
Score one for Mama!
What is your go-to meal for little ones that don’t want to eat what is offered? I would love to know, please share below!
Have a blessed day,
