I was introduced to the coolest spelling computer software by this fantastic lady that is part of this crew. This review here is another good example of the praises being sung for Spelling City.

After hearing about my sister’s upcoming review, I went to the Spelling City website and was pleasantly surprised at the low cost for the benefits they offer!

The cost is a steal for all of the wonderful options they offer!
The FREE portion of the site offers a number of great options, such as the following:

- handwriting practice
- printable worksheets

The activities are fun and encourage my kids to play even at the oddest hours, like 7:15am. My 8 year old will get up and start her day with a a game or two of spelling. I LOVE the fact that she doesn’t even realize that she is learning, a true blessing in disguise. She will play the same games over and over, her way of perfecting her “score”. Yep, a true blessing!
I am a perfectionist when it comes the the English language, though most of the time I am causing more issues than correcting them, I am afraid. So the brilliant concept of making learning FUN at the same time as the actual learning, is the beauty of Spelling City.
I am able to set up (weeks in advance even!) my kids spelling work within just a few minutes of my time. I can input the words by lists or in the batch entry. for my 8 year old, it takes only 3 minutes for me to get her work ready for an entire week! My 11 year son, well it takes me about 7 minutes, only because his spelling lists are 35 words long!
I am extremely happy with this program and the ease of use. I will make sure in my budget for school next year that I am able to get another membership, it is so well worth it! My kids might not always say the same thing, but then again, I guess that is why I am the mama.
