If you are anything like me when it comes to school time, well…overwhelmed is a good word.
I have found at last something that is easy for me to use with the kiddos for class time.
SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a one stop website for pretty much Anything you need to plan classes, lesson plan, print corresponding worksheets and oh so much more! This website is coming from the one place that has yet to steer me wrong in regards to homeschool, TOS Magazine. TOS Magazine holds a special place for me, you can read more about that, here.
The Yearly Membership Option is such a huge blessing for me. I now have access all year to fantastic programs, classes, extra goodies, grading, printables and resources I didn’t even know I needed!
Once you sign up for your membership you are given complete access to the Entire Website! I mean…Really Awesome!
The website offers a plethora of categories and classes taught by expert teachers. The classes offered are for ALL ages. From Pre-School all the way through High School. It is such a blessing to be able to de-stress over the lessons that kids are going to do. Your membership covers the whole family! With one subscription you can use this site for each child…priceless!
My daughter, she is 9, uses the Elementary Math offered by Dr. Price. He explains the math clearly and concisely in his videos. By him do so well in the videos, it helps me then break down the methods he is describing so I can help my daughter understand how to execute the math, which is critical for, as we all know, not every child learns the exact same way. I really appreciate the way Dr. Price helps me teach my little girl math, it makes math a whole lot less stressful. And my daughter LOVES the way Dr. Price talks! He has such a ear pleasing accent….simply lovely. Once we have watched the lesson via video, then we are able to print the worksheets so that my daughter can practice the lesson she just watched. It is extremely helpful with the printable worksheets! It saves me so much time…otherwise I would be hand writing all of the problems out and I don’t know about you, but I have a bunch of stuff to do during the day!

My oldest son, he is 12, just started guitar lessons last week! I am so excited for him! He has been asking for a while to set up some lessons with a local instructor, but alas, we have yet to find someone close, reasonably priced and trustworthy. Can I just tell you how tickled I was to see guitar lessons listed on SchoolTeachers.com?! This way I can let my son stretch and grow in playing the guitar and not have to pay extra out of pocket to do so! He got a huge kick out of the lesson from Mr. Jennings. He said that he was able to understand him, he spoke slowly so it gave him time to figure out where he needed to place his fingers on the guitar and it was FUN!
My son had such a good time doing the lesson that he actually made the point of telling me about it and told me that his fingers were a bit sore trying all of the movements Mr. Jennings was telling him to do! All in all…this was the most fun he has had for school in a long time. I foresee him being more diligent in learning the guitar now. Instead of me having to shell out more money, having him embarrass easily in front of a stranger (lesson instructor), this is a perfect fit for my son!

That being said just for lessons on SchoolhouseTeachers.com, there are sooooo many other goodies offered on the site!
I love the fact that the “Family” section isn’t just more lesson planning. It offers resources like Charlotte Mason Homeschooling, Nutrition and a Monthly Reading List! (WooHoo for Monthly Reading lists! I have such a hard time finding books and/or stories to correlate with the seasons. This makes it so very much easier for me! And goodness, really….who doesn’t love easy?!)
The “Dailies” section is chock full of “stuff” to do for daily activities. For me, this is filler work. For the days that are running shorter (or longer) and someone needs a little more busy work, this is my go to section. Spelling lists, grammer, math and writing are just a peek at what is offered in this tiny piece of the website.
And of course, let’s not forget about the Extras section! Heeheehee….I LOVE extras!
Extras like….old magazine issues. (These really never, ever, ever get old! I can read and reread them over and over again!) School planners…yep…the whole kit and kaboodle type of planners. Oh My…you’d really have to become a member to get the goods on these planners! If you are a diligent planner user, well then…THESE ROCK! There are ebooks and even a discount section, I know….a discount section. All because you became a member of the coolest schooling website around!
