This review of ScienceandMath.com was amazing! Let me share about this fantastic product and how it worked for us.
I was given the DVD Algebra 1 : Volume 1 along with Fractions Thru Algebra Companion Worksheets CD (mine was the PDF downloadable version) to review with my oldest son, he is 12 years old and is in middle school (around 7th-8th grade). In our homeschool it is kind of hard to always pinpoint what grade level we are currently in. This product, The Algebra 1 Tutor : Volume 1 DVD, is geared for 9th-12th graders, or rather anyone that may be struggling with certain concepts in this area of math.
I must be honest, I was a little overwhelmed when the tutor, Mr. Jason Gibson, introduced himself on the DVD. He talks about his extensive education background and the degrees he has earned. I thought that this is going to be waaaaaay over my 12 years olds head but alas, we sat down and we were amazed. Jason speaks so well on video and he makes sure to take the time to throughly go over each step he is preforming before moving on to the next concept. What a nice change from the math I have been helping my son with. No more grumpy days over math here! This was a breath of fresh air in our daily studies.
The DVD is broken down into 10 sections, equalling 3 DVDs in the set and 7 hours worth of one on one tutoring! This DVD is $31.99 but is on sale now for $26.99. Or…you can buy the PDF downloadable version for $23.99.

The beauty of the Algebra 1 Tutor : Volume 1 DVD and the Fractions Thru Algebra Companion Worksheets is this…you only need a DVD player to get A+ quality tutoring and a printer. This is a deal that I totally believe you should budget for to use in your homeschool or to supplement your math classes. The DVD does have the sections labeled out but sometimes if I wasn’t paying close attention, the lesson moved on before my son had a chance to start the worksheets. If there was a better lay out of the sections on the DVD and a more defined stopping point on the DVD, I believe it would help with the older child that is capable of self teaching. That is truly the only issue that we had with these items.
I think that our next purchase from SciencenadMath.com might be the science DVD. If Mr. Jason Gibson can help make math less painful, the possibilities are endless with science!
