Thanksgiving 2016
With so much going on I wanted to share a short recap of my Thanksgiving.
First off, I hope your day was fantastic and full of sweet memories, amazing company, and delicious food! Mine sure was!
As usual I was much too busy to make any pictures. Seriously, I didn’t even take one! I am always so wrapped up in the fun of it all that I totally don’t even think about it. Which in a way is a good thing, but on the other hand, I never have any pictures of family (and all those babies and little people we have!), or even pictures of the mass quantities of food that is prepared every year!
So, in short recap; Every two years my sisters and I get all of our families together in one place. Four sisters y’all, that’s it. Mind you, I am the youngest of the sisters, so my number contribution is dramatically lower than some of my other sisters, lol
Oldest sister is married and has 11 children (yes, 11) – here are her family numbers:
- oldest daughter is married with 3 children (5)
- oldest son is married with 2 children (4)
- next daughter is married with 2 children (4)
- next son is marries with 2 children (4)
- next daughter is single, no children (1)
- next son is married with 1 child (3)
- next daughter is single, no children (1)
- next son is single, no children (1)
- next daughter is single, no children (1)
- youngest son is 15, lol, single, no children (1)
- youngest daughter is 12, lol, single, no children (1)
- Total Family from sister = 28
Next oldest sister is married and has two children – here are her family numbers:
- oldest daughter is married with 3 children (5)
- youngest daughter is single, no children (did not attend)
- Totally Family from sister = 7
Next sister is married with one child – total family from sister = 3
Then there is my family, I’m married with 3 children – total from me = 5
BUT . . . we also had some stragglers that showed p to hangout with us, extended family and some family friends
Total Extended Family and Friends = 12-15 (I lost count because of the comings and goings)
So to wrap this up, I attended Thanksgiving with 55-58 people this year, most of which were directly related to me.
We ate too much food, laughed at silly jokes, razzed each other, squeezed the babies and toddlers, argued some, but had an absolutely splendid time!
I cannot wait to do it ALL again!
Again, hope your Thanksgiving was delightful – Many blessings to You and Your Family.
In His Grace,
Callie
