When You Feel Weary Here are Bible Verses to Remind You God is In Control
When you feel weary, anxiety and fear are two contributing factors to feeling that our life is out of control! That is one of the strongest weapons that the enemy (Satan) uses against us. He creates strongholds in our minds making us feel like we are not in control of our lives, nor is God. When we allow those fears and anxiety to consume our thoughts, it blinds us from the fact that God is truly in control.
When you open up your Bible you will see scripture showing us time and time again, that God is in control and at work in our lives. God is faithful, he never leaves us, even when we feel alone. The stronger you become in your faith, by reading the word, the less you will be affected by those fears and anxieties! When a thought pops up in your mind, you will remember the scripture, and can speak that truth over your life. God is in control, and when we read the Bible, and read the truth, our faith will grow stronger, and we can conquer anything with His help!
Below I gathered a short list of scriptures showing us, that God is in control in our life today, tomorrow and yesterday. He has it all mapped out, so we need to hand the wheel over to him, and take the passenger seat and just trust in Him! (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Scriptures to Remind Us God’s Got It Handled
“God the Refuge of His People and Conqueror of the Nations.” Psalm 46:1
This one is one of my favorites! “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
“Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?” Luke 12:22-26
“In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.” Psalm 94:19
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
“Let all the nations be gathered together, And let the people be assembled. Who among them can declare this, And show us former things? Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified; Or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”” Isaiah 43:9
This is another of my often called upon verses! “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” Revelation 1:17-18
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”” John 14:6
“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
Stand FIRM on this one friend! “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.” Psalm 118:6-7
“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” 1 John 2:5
“The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” Psalm 103:19
“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34:4
Repeat after me, “God is in Control. He loves me and wants the best for me. Even in the midst of my troubles and sorrows, He is there.”
Take a few minutes and write out these verses on some 3×5 cards and carry them with you OR copy them into your phone and pull them up as needed throughout the day.
I know sweet friend that we serve a God that loves us beyond measure and that everything, every. single. thing. is planned out to the nth power. God’s got it, so you my friend, can let it go.
Blessings to you!
In His Grace,
Callie
