About the book:
Reset your spiritual and emotional health with these steps.
More for Mom will encourage women to stop believing the lie that more is needed from them, and start living with the truth that more is available for them.
With real-life talk, humor and convicting biblical truths, Kristin Funston helps hard working mamas to look at each day and each facet of their life to discover what happens when they believe God has more for them than what they think the world needs from them.
And what He has available is a whole and holy life, just waiting to be claimed–a salvation and day-to-day reality complete just as it is. The pieces of each mom’s life–the work life, mom life, social life, etc.–are mended together through Christ to complete her one whole life, set apart because of Him.
This book is a stepping stone to help working mothers reset their spiritual and emotional health, habits, and relationship with God. There are performance pressures at work, home, and mind-sets that affect a mom’s ability to feel complete and live more closely aligned with God. This book includes the beginning steps for moms to walk in wholeness and holiness by asking God for more.

More For Mom by Kirstin Funston
More for Mom is a book that I needed more than I realized in the season of mamahood that I am in. By the Lord’s hand I am able to share this book review with you.
Have you ever read a social media post or a blog post and thought, “we could totally be friends in real life”. If you haven’t that would be surprising to me. It happens all of the time to me. I have numerous “friends” via the cyber world that don’t even realize that we are besties! Kristin and I would get along swimmingly I believe.
Anyway, if you are thinking that this book More for Mom doesn’t sound like your cup of coffee, well, think again. This book is for EVERY mama out there. Mamas with newborns, toddlers, preteens, or teens. The mamas that schedule to the hilt. And the mamas that roll with day to day punches. The mamas that run on coffee and grace (clears throat, that’s me y’all). Executive mamas and stay at home hard-workin mamas. I could keep going, but I’m hoping y’all are seeing a glimpse that ALL of us mamas are in this together. AND we all need to focus more on living whole and holy lives.
This book is written to all the mamas of the world. Because we seem to carry the load of life so much on our shoulders. Kristin writes that we tend to focus on the worldly things when we most definitely need to be focus on the eternal things.
I loved that as I read this book, not only did I feel like Kristin was tagging along at my house for the day, but I was continuously fed scripture in each section of the book. I appreciate the real talk Kristin offers but I love that she constantly and consistantly pointed back to scripture. Where we as mamas need to be. Immersed in The Word.
The book is peppered with lightheartedness yet doesn’t meander so far from the path that I get lost on the way back. I appreciated that I could laugh in one paragraph and within moments I was shaking my head in wonder because she was sharing a heartfelt story that I totally related to myself.
This More for Mom book offers amazing encouragement for all moms. This book is a book that would be a wonderful gift for a friend as it isn’t full of “pressure” but full of Biblical encouragement for every mama’s heart.
Well written and I look forward to following along to see what else Kristin writes in the future.
