A day behind but I will be on track for next week! As my mom would always say, “A day late and a dollar short.” LOL, I sure do miss her!
Also, if you were following the I Fail series, I promise I will finish part 5 soon….as I Fail in so very many ways, I am gathering and praying to get the last post done!
With so much going on in the last few days, life, the elections and around the house stuff….I wanted to take a moment and say how thankful I am for some very important things.
I will post about one of the following each week until the end of the month; God, Family, Home and Country.
First and foremost ~ I am thankful for an everlasting God
Everlasting – ¹lasting forever; eternal ²lasting or continuing for an indefinitely long time.
The one that is always waiting to spend time with me, loves me for who I am and one that sees great potential in little ole me.
“For God so loved the world (and me!) that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 (NIV)
“Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” Psalm 90:2 (NIV)
“Very truly I tell you, the one that believes has eternal (everlasting) life.” John 6:47 (NIV)
So many wonderful verses prove to me every day that not only does He love me, He is ever present. I am thankful that God sent his son to die for me that I might have an eternal (everlasting) life with Him in heaven. The magnitude of that sacrifice is still waaaaaay more than I could ever comprehend! I know without a doubt I would do what ever was needed to defend my children, so that thought of choosing to give one up for the sinners of the world? WHOA…..and there is the perfect reason He is God…..much better than I, any day, without question.
I am so very thankful that He waits for me, no matter how many times I fail Him in my life. I am thankful that He loves me without question, because so many times I have thought I knew better than the Almighty and I have had the audacity to question Him. I am thankful that He provides mercy and grace and that I am even permitted to come before Him and ask for anything……absolutely anything.
What an absolutely amazing God I serve…..if I never have anything else to ever be thankful for, I am thankful that I know Christ as my one on one personal Savior.
Please share in the comments on the things that you are Thankful for!
Many blessings today and everyday,
