Week 15 of 52 Weeks of Thankful Thursday
The Letter O for Opinion
Opinions…everybody has one.
And for this I am thankful. Truly, I am. Here me out.
I am thankful that we live in a country that still values opinions. Well, for the most part.
Things are getting tough out there in the good ole US of A. Sometimes you have an opinion and others may not like it.
But as of today, it is still okay for my to have an opinion.
Even if you don’t like what I have to say.
There are so many people that cry foul when you go against their opinions. Well, yea know what? Tough tooties….Just because I may not agree with your opinion doesn’t mean that I am mean spirited, hateful or even (gasp) unChristian. Sometimes the truth needs to be said out loud and not just whispered behind your hand or closed doors.
You know, there are numerous “haters” out there. And don’t go saying that Jesus loved (and loves) everyone, because I know that. He loves everyone but just because He loves the person does not mean that He loves their sin. And sin is sin, No Matter What Way You Spin It.
All sin is equal in the sight of God. He doesn’t like any of it.
So don’t go comparing little sins to big sins, because your opinion is invalid, a Sin is a Sin in the eyes of God.
Now back to opinions.
My opinion is that I am thankful that I can teach my children that is perfectly acceptable to have an opinion. You can even agree to disagree with someone in regards to each others opinions. No fighting, that isn’t necessary or needed in my book. But along with opinions, you should always be able to back up your opinion with Truth. Yes, truth.
For me, the Bible is the flawless word of God and what it says is Truth.
So, again, opinions are great, but just because your opinion differs from mine does not mean I am close minded, unChristian, mean or not a forward thinker.
I base my opinion on the Truth of the Bible.
We are all sinners that have fallen short of the glory of God.
No one can get to The Father except through Jesus.
Jesus is the Way, Truth and the Life.
You may call them opinions, I call them Truths.
You as a person are loved, by me and by Jesus, that is Truth.
Basing your opinions on what the world has to say, is silly and based on an unTruth.
I pray that you will no longer be swayed by the World…only the Truth shall set you free.
And you shall be free indeed.
Opinions, everybody has one.
Yours may differ from mine but we are all children of the One True King.
In His Grace.
