I have determined that I am a lazy homeschooling mama. I must be. Because I have an affinity for all things easy. Like this latest review from Super Teacher Worksheets. Thanks to the Individual Membership we received to review I have been able to print my fill of amazing worksheets for the kids!
This site has an incredible amount of worksheets that you can print. Over 10,000 worksheets! Super Incredible!
Each section that you choose to print from has even more in the section than you see at first. If you choose math, then you have different sections of math. Addition (then numerous worksheets), subtraction (then numerous worksheets), well, you get the point. Check out the different sections that are listed on the site:
- Reading / Writing
- Phonics / Early Literacy
- Spelling Lists
- grade 1
- grade 2
- grade 3
- grade 4
- grade 5
- Social Studies
- Puzzles / Brain Teasers
- Teacher Helpers
- Pre K – Kindergarten
- Worksheet Generator
- word search
- multiple choice
- fill in the blanks
I cannot EVEN begin to break down what each individual section holds!
They have a lot more than just traditional worksheets. They also have:
- math card games
- reading comprehension passages
- phonics mini-books
- math mystery pictures
- math dice games
- spelling lists
- task cards
- Scoot games
- sight word flashcards
- cut-and-glue activities
- research projects
- book report templates
- memory match games
- phonics sorts
- early literacy word wheels
- QR math activities
- and much more.
The site also offers worksheet generators. This area allows you to make your own customized math worksheets, calendars, flashcards, quizzes, and word puzzles. This is one of my favorite areas. I can input the kids spelling words and create Word Searches. This is way more fun for the kids than the “oh, I have to write my words…again?!” norm.
Another cool feature is that members can save their favorite files in an online filing cabinet. You can save the premade files or you can save your custom made files from the generator. I know, right?!
Oh! How about this?! There are Spanish translations of many worksheets are available. When you click the “Lang” button below a worksheet’s description it will switch between English and Spanish. (They have translations for our most popular topics, such as addition, multiplication, etc.)
The Super Teacher Worksheet site is primarily a K – 5th grade website. But they are slowly adding resources for higher grades. (There are a few resources for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades on the site.)
If you are interested in joining the site, the membership is very affordable. Only $19.95 per year. (This allows 1 user unlimited access to over 10,000 PDFs.) It knocks my socks off that is so reasonably priced.
First and foremost, this site is Common Core Aligned. You can see more about this by visiting the Common Core Alignment Page.
Secondly, it is a wonderful resource for me as I get to pick and choose what I want the kids to use. A lot of the sections are way more used than others! I am absolutely enjoying the Puzzles and Brain Teasers which helps with Critical Thinking and Reasoning Skills. And I for one am a huge fan of the Worksheet Generator. By far my favorite place to visit on the site!
Lastly, the kids enjoy the break from all of the book work and completed planned out lessons that we sometimes do, so it is a nice change of pace to have a site that will provide fun things too. Not just always more “boring, paperwork!”. My youngest (he is 7 ½) enjoys the addition sheets that he can color and my daughter (she is almost 11) enjoys the word searches!
