The Very First Christmas The Berenstain Bears book

The Berenstain Bears The Very First Christmas

It’s Christmas time and the Bear cubs ask for a story before bed and Papa suggests they read from their storybook Bible. So what other story would they read than the incredible birth of Jesus. From beautiful Archangel Gabriel’s appearance to sweet Mary and baby Jesus, this story as seen from the Bear Cubs is one to behold.

I loved how the story does not gloss over the important details of this spectacular event. It shares the fear that Mary had but that she was comforted by Gabriel’s words. It shows how the angels rejoiced with the birth of the Savior baby. Absolutely wonderfully written and illustrated!

The greatest story ever told as seen through the eyes of the young Berenstain Bear cubs.

This is yet another perfect story that is laid out in stunning images and easy to read wording, making this a book that can be read by all.

The Very First Christmas is a book that I so enjoyed reading to my children and will cherish for many years to come. I love the story of the birth of Jesus and it was sweet to read from the point of the Berenstain Bears.

Thanks to Jan and Mike Berenstain for putting together yet another wonderful book in the Living Lights series. I love them and always look forward to reading them to and with my children.
